Lindsay Hart represents insurance companies in all aspects of the insurance business – from compliance with state regulatory requirements to the resolution of ordinary coverage disputes. We assist our clients in drafting insurance policies, insurance producer agreements, premium finance agreements and other critical business documents. Our attorneys represent insureds as appointed defense counsel under a variety of commercial and professional liability insurance policies. We also represent insurance companies in the defense of claims brought by insureds, including claims for "bad faith" and similar claims arising under the consumer protection laws. Two of our former attorneys have served as the Director of the Department of Consumer and Business Services, the chief insurance regulator in Oregon.
