Jerard S. Weigler

Emeritus

A graduate of and former assistant instructor at Yale Law School, Mr. Weigler draws upon knowledge gained over a legal career spanning nearly 50 years.  He has mentored generations of lawyers at Lindsay Hart, imbuing in them the simple values associated with practicing law “the old-fashioned way” – honor, hard work and respect for others.  Now serving as Of Counsel to the firm, he continues to advance legal protections for children and society’s less advantaged.  He helped persuade the Oregon Legislature to fund the state Court Appointed Special Advocates program, he served as director of the Multnomah County Court Appointed Special Advocates as well as director of the Children’s Trust Fund of Oregon; and he was both director and president of Oregon Lawyers for Children.  Mr. Weigler also provides legal services to indigent clients through certified pro-bono programs.
