From his very first week as a practicing lawyer thirty years ago, Paul has spent his career in the courtroom. Two years out of law school, he was tapped to head the select group of deputy district attorneys in Portland who specialized in prosecuting persons accused of adult and child sexual assaults and other violent crimes. He successfully prosecuted serial rapists, murderers, and career criminals. Later Paul went into civil practice and was appointed managing attorney of the Seattle/Portland offices of a major national insurance company, again trying dozens of cases, this time in the civil arena. Today, Paul continues to litigate complex civil cases. His practice includes defending medical and legal malpractice claims, product liability, construction defect and trucking liability defense.   Paul was selected by his peers and Law & Politics to the Oregon Super Lawyers list in 2008.
