Ray Bucheger
Ray Bucheger worked on Capitol Hill for Senator Paul Wellstone (D-MN) until his untimely and tragic death in 2002, and then briefly for Senator Herb Kohl (D-WI) before opening Governor Jim Doyle's Washington D.C. office in February, 2003 where he lobbied on a number of policy issues and secured federal funding for the State.
Ray currently uses his extensive contacts in various Executive Agencies and on Capitol Hill to represent the interests of his clients, which include Fortune 500 companies, public and non-profit entities, and regional and national organizations. Ray is continuously monitoring and pursuing client needs in numerous issue areas, including transportation, homeland security, international trade, defense, energy, taxes and maritime issues; and he is intimately familiar with the federal appropriations process. Ray works with Congressional delegations from throughout the country; with Members and staff on numerous Congressional Committees; and with a range of DC-based interest groups. He achieves results by building multi-state, bi-partisan coalitions both on and off Capitol Hill.
Ray earned his undergraduate degrees in Economics and Political Science and a Master of Science in Applied Economics (MSAE) at Marquette University.
