Thomas has over 30 years of trial experience in federal and state courts and other administrative forums. He represents employers and insurers in maritime transportation matters as well as complex business disputes. Thomas also represents professionals in legal and accounting malpractice claims and before state licensing boards. In the pro bono arena, Thomas represented adoption reform advocates in upholding Measure 58 (allowing adult adoptees to obtain their original birth certificates) from the trial court to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Thomas received his law degree from Hastings College of Law at University of California and clerked for the Honorable Frank K. Richardson, California Supreme Court.
