Christa Torralba focuses her practice on representing healthcare providers before Oregon professional licensing boards and DHS. She also advises clients on health law and employment law. Christa has dedicated 23 years to defending healthcare providers and employers in complex litigation and administrative proceedings. She now devotes much of her time to helping physicians, nurses and mental health professionals respond to Board investigations. Her specialty is helping clients through some of the most stressful times in their career.
Christa also advises businesses on HIPAA compliance, including policies and procedures and breach response. Her extensive experience in healthcare is invaluable to clients for preparing employee handbooks, employment agreements, healthcare contracts, and advising on medical staff issues and regulatory compliance. Christa regularly helps employers respond to BOLI and EEOC complaints, and collaborates with clients to develop robust employment policies and protocols for risk prevention. She also helps providers entering private practice with business formation and clinic policies, along with serving as general counsel and legal consultant. Christa has significant experience with compliance requirements for medical spas and aesthetic medicine practices.
Before joining Lindsay Hart, Christa was an equity partner in Phoenix at one of the 250 largest law firms in the nation. Her practice focused on representing a health system operating 28 hospitals, numerous physician groups, and the largest private employer in the state. In addition to serving as lead counsel in the medical negligence department, Christa spent a significant amount of time providing risk management and loss prevention training to healthcare and business clients. While litigating hundreds of medical malpractice cases, Christa was best known for her work on high profile cases involving brain injuries, spine surgery, and alleged psychiatric malpractice.

Prior to law school, Christa worked as a neuroscience researcher studying dementia and Alzheimer’s disease through Tulane Neuroscience Department and Touro Infirmary in New Orleans. She also trademarked her own start-up business and is familiar with the practical issues surrounding business management and corporate development. After running her own small firm, Christa became familiar with the significant challenges faced by small business owners. She brings that knowledge and experience to helping small businesses and employers while keeping costs down.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Christa brings her passion for good food to running a popular local cooking group. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, raising ornamental chickens, and spending time in the garden with her family and miniature schnauzer, Ichabod.
