Elizabeth Duncan

Before joining Lindsay Hart, Elizabeth enjoyed a long career as an appellate attorney practicing before the Oregon Court of Appeals, Oregon Supreme Court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Over the span of 25+ years, she handled all types of civil appeals, focusing especially on cases establishing caps on damages and the excessiveness of punitive damage awards.

She established the Appellate Practice Section of the Oregon State Bar and served on its executive committee for over a decade. Her passion was planning and organizing CLE programs on appellate practice for which she was awarded the Oregon State Bar’s Membership Services Award.

Following an eight-year detour into the non-profit world, she returned to the practice of law and is enjoying working with Lindsay Hart’s Long-Term Care Litigation and Defense Team.

Elizabeth and her husband take delight in any activity that gets them out of the house, especially all types of fishing and gardening. Her current gardening goal is cultivating perennials that will survive the voracious appetite of the rabbits that recently moved into her neighborhood and decimated her flower gardens.
