Jeff is a trial attorney who has tried many cases in both Oregon and Washington. Coming from a family full of physicians, Jeff has unique insight into the defense of physicians and other health care providers in medical negligence and healthcare licensing cases.
Jeff is a native Oregonian and a proud “Double Duck,” with law and bachelor’s degrees from the University of Oregon. Jeff is a member of numerous professional organizations, and has authored or contributed to several publications including the “The Verdict,” a publication of the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel and Oregon Statutory Time Limitations, a joint publication of the Professional Liability Fund and the Oregon State Bar. He served as a member of the House of Delegates (2016-2019), which aids in the governance of the Oregon State Bar, and he served as chairperson (2019) and as the secretary (2018) of the Uniform Civil Jury Instructions Committee, which develops jury instructions for use in civil trials. He recently completed a four-year term on the Council on Court Procedures, which is the Oregon public body that creates, reviews, and amends the rules of practice and procedure for all Oregon circuit courts.
Jeff is listed in Best Lawyers in America for his work in Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants and Commercial Litigation, and in Super Lawyers for Medical Malpractice Defense and Professional Liability Defense.
Outside of the office, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on the Oregon Ducks.
