Sarah L. Desautels

Sarah specializes in civil litigation and the representation of medical facilities and health care providers. Prior to joining Lindsay Hart, Sarah worked for a national firm, defending various professionals in federal, state, and administrative matters.

Sarah earned her juris doctorate at the University of Washington School of Law. While attending law school, she was a Notes and Comments Editor for the Washington Law Review. She was also a student attorney for the Innocence Project Northwest (now the Washington Innocence Project), where she investigated and litigated wrongful conviction cases in Washington State. During her law school summers, Sarah was a law clerk for a public defense firm in Deschutes County and a civil litigation firm in Portland.

Sarah has volunteered with the Rural Alaska Tax Assistance Program, travelling to rural Alaska to prepare tax returns in indigenous communities. Additionally, she has volunteered with the Immigrant Families Advocacy Project, preparing U-visa applications for survivors of domestic violence.

Sarah graduated cum laude with her bachelor's degree from Willamette University, where she double majored in international studies and Spanish and minored in economics.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys playing soccer, attending professional sport events, and learning new card games.
