
Stuart is a civil litigator with a history in a variety of practice areas. He has significant experience in intellectual property (IP) and technology law but has represented clients in a variety of matters including business transactions and disputes, privacy and first amendment law, and common and professional torts. Stuart brings a balanced combination of litigation skills and strategic counseling to every matter.
A graduate of Lewis & Clark Law School, Stuart is admitted to practice in both Oregon and Washington's federal and state courts as well as the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. He has represented clients in a variety of administrative and judicial forums including Oregon, Washington, Utah, Arizona, and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and Copyright Claims Board (CCB). He has also prepared and prosecuted patent, trademark, and copyright applications in front of the USPTO and Copyright Office.
Stuart is active in the legal community; he serves on the Board of Directors for Oregon Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts and contributes as a Board Member to the Federal Litigation Section of the Federal Bar Association. A lifelong Pacific Northwesterner, Stuart enjoys spending his free time in the outdoors, exploring new hiking trails or skiing Mt. Hood.
